Purchasing Assistant

Role: Purchasing Assistant Hours: Monday to Friday, 09.00 to 17.30 Location: Newark Holidays: 25 days plus Bank Holidays (2 x 1 week shutdowns in May and August) Benefits: Pension (4% employer and 1% employee)

Our prestigious client is seeking to recruit into its purchasing department

Core duties for the purchasing assistant

  • undertake general purchasing tasks
  • liaise with suppliers
  • generate supplier base
  • maintain accurate records
  • undertake general reception duties (answer phones, take messages)
  • happy to cover other areas of the business as necessary

Experience for the purchasing assistant

  • some previous purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • attention to detail
  • excellent IT skills
  • able to multi task
  • flexible approach
  • strong team ethic
  • able to start on or around 1 April 2019
